The Past and the Future

The superbowl was hard to watch. Almost as bad as the game were some of the commercials. The only highlights were the good performance from Bruno Mars as the halftime show and some of the commercials. Some were good, like the Doritos commercials that were made by some of the fans. Some were bad, like most of the other commercials. The big story would be the racist backlash from the Coca Cola America the Beautiful song. Calling racists pond scum would be an insult to pond scum.

There were other parts of the show that were horrible as well. The interview with Obama was so horrible that even he acknowledges that it was bulls**t. The rest of it was… whatever. The ratings for the event were incredible. One question remains… what happened to those Broncos? The only thing I can say is that the NFL is actually not going to investigate that, despite a story from a SATIRE site that says they will. The Seahawks were better and that is it. It seems like it would have been rigged, though.

Meanwhile, news about the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman keeps on coming and coming. We are learning more about his horrific death and it has sent shockwaves around the media world. Chris Christie also continues to make big news.

In other news, the Sochi Olympic Opening Ceremony happens this Thursday. Don’t forget to watch this important event. It will hopefully take our mind off the decable that was yesterdays sporting event. One season ends, another begins.

This same logic can be applied to life. When life brings you downs, don’t fret on it and move forward. There is nothing you can do to change the past. The only thing you can hope for is to change the future. This is a time and day in my life to where I look at the past and the future. I hope that all of your futures remain bright as well.
