New Religious Movements and the restoration of old doctrines

It may seem surprising to many people, but I see that many of the New Religious Movements and the New Age Movement in general take on the teachings of the oldest religions on earth. It may seem surprising, but many mainstream religions of this day are seemingly out of touch with the things that really matter.

Starting in the 1800’s, New Religious Movements started popping up and many of them claim to be ‘restorations’ of older faiths. Many of them also taught of the nearness of the ‘end times’

The New Age Movement stems from the NRM and it also brings back some of the doctrines that are very ancient, such as Gnosticism, Judaism, Esotericism, and some of the older religious movements combined with some of the Mystery School teachings of the Axial Age religious teachers.
