How can we face the new day with the highest possibilities?

The Winter Solstice is a time of the year when the sun (in the northern hemisphere) is at its lowest point. It is the day that many cultures in this hemisphere celebrated the rebirth of the sun after getting lower and lower. Many cultures attach December 25th to be the day that the sun rises again because it seems that, to the ancient observer, it is the day in which the sun appears to rise again after being down for three days (akin to the story of many sun gods, including Jesus), but the day should have meaning to all of us as well. In addition to being a feast day in my personal life, it is also a time for me to reflect on the life that I lived over the past year. It is always the darkest before the dawn. If you are not in a good place in life at any time, there will be a point where your life is at its lowest. But then, something remarkable happens in which life starts to look up. I think that I am just seeing the first lights of the dawn and I feel optimistic about my future and the future of those around me. The nature of our life ultimately falls on our attitude and outlook for it. To have a better life, you need to start from within and start on yourself. That will allow real change to happen in this world.
