Cancelling Christmas

Most might as well cancel their plans for Christmas this year. This year, there are a lot of congregations that are not actually having services on Christmas Day, which falls on a Sunday, because of the traditions that come around the holiday itself. There are many people who will be up in arms about this, but a lot of the people that show up on Christmas and Easter are not even real. They do not have spirituality. They just want to pretend that they do.

What we need to understand this season is that we need to have a happy life. There are a lot of people that claim to be something that they are not. What I would love everyone to do is to find what community they fit in the most with and embrace it. I want all people to have those around them be happy. It cannot be done if there are a lot of people who are just attending to keep the peace. They do not know what they are missing out on in life. I would like to go to the basics this year and emphasize the things that are really important. That is what I am going to focus on in the twelve days of Christmastide for this year.
